McDonalds Chicken Nuggets Copycat Recipe

Why take a trip to McDonald's when you can make the McNuggets at home? This copycat recipe gets you perfect nuggets every time, fried to just the right golden brown that you get from McDonalds. However, these homemade chicken nuggets are so much healthier and tastier than frozen or fast-food varieties and they are really not that hard to make, you can even make them in a large batch and freeze for later and quick use!

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 egg
  • Oil

Instructions

    Cut chicken breast into small pieces then place it in a blender or food processer and grind it until smooth.

    Add chicken into bowl along with salt and pepper. Mix well.

    Form nuggets using your hands. Tip - use wet hands. Place nuggets into the fridge to set.

    Add flour, cornflour, salt, onion powder to a bowl. Mix well

    Add egg into a separate bowl and whisk well.

    Take one nugget, dip in egg then into flour mixture. Repeat.

    Add to hot oil and cook for approx 3 minutes each side.

    Serve hot & enjoy.
