This Apple Crumble is an absolute crowd pleaser! Warm, cinnamon laced apple filling and a perfectly crunchy, crumbly topping.

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 5 large apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Topping:
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 100gms melted butter
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving, optional

Instructions

    1. Peel, core, and slice apples into small even pieces. Place apples in your dish and toss with sugar, , flour, and cinnamon. Pour into a lightly greased 9 by 13-inch baking dish, and spread out into an even layer. Set aside. If you want your apples to be saucier, add 1/2 cup of water.
    2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Mix together to format Crumbley mixture.
    3. Top apples evenly with mixture and bake until apples are bubbly and topping is golden brown, about 45 minutes at 180C.
    4. Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream.
